Veel takken hebben, nadat ze de grond hebben geraakt, gemarcheerd en een opmerkelijk geheel gevormd, zelfs als de hoofdstam door de bliksem is getroffen. Rond 1960 werd dit grote landgoed gekocht door het ziekenhuis van Nozay. Het woongebouw werd een tehuis voor ouderen en het park bleef aanvankelijk intact. Rond 1997 werd de weide aan de achterzijde gekapt voor een gebouw voor de bewoners en rond 2010 werden bij een nieuw gebouw aan de oostzijde enkele coniferen verwijderd. Deze omwentelingen hebben het park niet al te zeer vervreemd, en het is nu opengesteld voor het publiek, met kinderspeelplaatsen.\n\nDeze Western Red Cedar staat op de lijst van opmerkelijke bomen in de Loire-Atlantique (Guide de d\u00E9couverte: les arbres remarquables en Loire-Atlantique.
