Néerlandais (Pays-Bas) Gildaa is een grappig wezen. Deze satirische dichteres, zangeres en performer van Frans-Braziliaanse afkomst verschijnt op het podium met haar liedjes, haar vragen en haar spoken, ergens tussen cabaret, concert en een droom met open ogen in.
Ze zingt in het Frans en het Portugees, mengt stijlen net als emoties, en schakelt zonder waarschuwing over van schaterlachen naar vertrouwelijke momenten. Speelt haar geheugen haar parten? Des te beter: ze graaft in de leemtes, de vergetelheden en de toevalligheden om er verhalen en liedjes van te maken.
Gildaa, bedacht door Camille Constantin Da Silva, heeft zichzelf opgebouwd met alles wat ze maar kon vinden: de viool uit haar kindertijd, de clownskunst, feministische impulsen, een onbeschaamde voorliefde voor het absurde, enkele mystieke ingevingen en haar familiale erfgoed.
